What are podcast show notes?
Show notes are the text that goes with an episode in the feed: a description of what it covers, timestamps for the sections, links mentioned, and the guest’s name. They are what a listener reads before pressing play and what search engines and podcast apps index — the episode itself is invisible to them.
Good notes are short at the top and detailed below: a two-line hook, then chapters with timestamps, then links. Most hosts also use the first line as the preview text in the app.
