What are the limits for agents and the API?
Your first First Pass preview is free; after that a preview costs 10 credits. On the free plan an agent gets half the monthly allowances, 3 exports a month and a 60-second enhance preview — exporting and enhancing stay unlimited in the editor. Lite, Plus and Max give the agent the full plan.
An agent can try every step of the pipeline on the free plan: transcript, filler and pause detection, the First Pass preview, cut planning, music you already own, building the project. What is metered over the API is finishing an episode.
On the free plan an agent gets half of each monthly allowance — 30 of the plan's 60 upload minutes, half the credits, half the projects and storage — plus two API-only limits: 3 exports a month (exports you make in the app count too), and enhance returns a 60-second preview instead of the whole file. Exporting and enhancing from the editor stay free and unlimited on every plan, so when an agent hits one of those walls it hands you a link to that exact project.
On Lite, Plus and Max the agent gets exactly what the plan gives, with no halving and no API-only caps — a production workflow can stay headless.
Agent usage counts against the same monthly totals as the app: one account, one wallet. Long jobs behave the same as in the app — agents poll for you, and nothing is lost if they stop waiting; the job finishes and is picked up on the next call.
One thing an agent cannot take away: generated and staff-picked music stays inside Cast. The agent can put a licensed bed under your episode, but it cannot hand you the bare track as a file.

- Lite700 credits, 10 hours of uploads a month, files up to 2 hours, WAV upload, MP3 320k export. Agent gets the same.

- Max6,500 credits, unlimited uploads, broadcast-grade export and per-lane stems. Agent gets the same.
How many episodes do my credits cover?
Listening to a First Pass preview is what costs nothing to decide on; applying it to the whole episode is the paid step: 100 credits per started 10 minutes, a block counting once the episode is a minute into it. Everything else in the pipeline — transcript, analysis, cut planning, building the project, exporting — costs no credits at all.
The cost by episode length, and roughly how many such episodes a month each plan covers (counting a generated music bed for every one):
A 20-minute episode costs 200 credits to auto-edit, or 239 with music — about 2 a month on Lite, 11 on Plus, 27 on Max. A 30-minute episode costs 300, or 359 with music — about 1 on Lite, 7 on Plus, 18 on Max. A 45-minute episode costs 500, or 589 with music — about 1 on Lite, 4 on Plus, 11 on Max. An hour costs 600, or 719 with music — just past a month of Lite credits, about 3 on Plus, 9 on Max. Ninety minutes costs 900, or 1,079 with music — about 2 on Plus, 6 on Max.
Free can listen to the preview but not apply it to a whole episode: that step needs a paid plan. Re-running a preview on a later upload costs 10 credits.
Music is the variable: a bed covers the first 3 minutes in its base price and adds 2 credits per further started minute, so long episodes tilt the arithmetic. Reusing a bed you already generated costs nothing.
