What can an AI agent do on each Cast plan?
Every plan can connect an agent and run the whole pipeline: import, transcript, filler and pause detection, cut planning, a First Pass preview, music you already own, building the project. Free stops at finishing — applying the auto-edit to a whole episode, cleaning a whole recording and exporting more than three times a month need a paid plan. Lite, Plus and Max give the agent exactly what the plan gives you.
The split is the same on every plan: trying things is free, finishing an episode is the paid step. An agent can always transcribe a recording, find the filler words and long pauses, propose a cut list with the exact words it would remove, and play you a 60-second before-and-after of the auto-edit. What it cannot do on the free plan is commit that work to a whole episode over the API.
That is not a wall so much as a door back into Cast: exporting and cleaning are free and unlimited inside the app on every plan, so when an agent runs out of API allowance it hands you a link straight to that project and you finish it in one click.

Enhance returns a 60-second preview rather than the whole file. Good for: trying an agent on one episode before you commit.
- Lite700 credits and 10 hours of uploads a month, files up to 2 hours, WAV upload, MP3 320k export, and no API-only caps — full-length voice cleanup, unlimited exports, whole-episode auto-edit. Roughly one half-hour episode a month with its own generated music. Good for: a monthly show where an agent does the first pass and you finish it.
- PlusEverything in Lite plus 2,750 credits, 25 hours of uploads, WAV export and the creator commercial license — the first plan where what the agent produces is cleared for monetised use. Roughly 7 half-hour episodes a month with music. Good for: a weekly show, or an agency running a couple of clients.

Do I need a paid plan to try an AI agent on my podcast?
No. On the free plan an agent can import a recording, transcribe it, find the fillers and pauses, propose the cuts, build the project and export it up to three times a month — enough to judge whether the result is worth paying for.
What the free plan stops is finishing at scale: applying the auto-edit across a whole episode, cleaning a whole recording, and exporting a fourth time in a month. Those are free and unlimited inside the Cast editor on any plan, so you can also just open the project the agent made and finish it by hand.
