Staff picks
Sink in deep with heavy reverb and echo. This collection of deep, chilled-out dub pairs well with trippy visuals and works as a relaxed backdrop.
Good uses for classic dub
- visualizers and trippy edits;
- chill streams and lounge backgrounds;
- skate and surf videos;
- reggae and Jamaican culture content.
The dub recipe
A heavy, round bassline, a one drop drum pattern, offbeat guitar or organ chops, and plenty of space. Then the effects: tape delay, spring reverb and filters that make sounds swirl and fade. Tempos are slow, around 60 to 90 BPM. For visualizers, the echoing effects give animators natural moments to sync with. For surf and skate videos, the relaxed groove suits slow-motion shots.
Make a classic dub track
Describe it, for example deep dub with spring reverb and echo for a surf video, and Mubert Render creates an original track. More of the genre is on the Dub Music page.
