( Voice cleanup )

Studio sound, with a strength dial

Cast removes hiss, hum and room noise, then brings the voice to a consistent studio loudness — at Subtle, Medium or Strong. And because the original recording is never overwritten, you can hear each strength and keep the one that still sounds like you.

The dial is the feature

Every AI denoiser trades voice for silence: the more aggressively it decides what counts as noise, the more of the voice goes with it. That trade is physics, and any tool claiming otherwise is hiding the dial. Cast hands you the dial — four settings, and Off is one of them.

So the robotic-voice problem has a one-click fix: move left. Drop from Strong to Medium or Subtle and the voice comes back, because the untouched recording was there all along.

Fast pass or full pipeline — your pick

The Noise Remover is the fast pass: it strips steady noise and leaves music and sound effects alone. Enhance voice is the full pipeline: noise removal plus levelling, so a voice that drifts between loud and quiet comes back even — which is usually what people actually mean by “sounds amateur”.

One honest boundary: Cast has no de-reverb. An echo is your voice arriving twice, and no editor separates a sound from a copy of itself cleanly on an already-recorded file. The docs say so plainly, and what genuinely helps is recording into something soft.

  • Off / Subtle / Medium / Strong
  • Noise removal costs no credits
  • Original never overwritten

FAQ

01How do I remove background noise?

Turn on the AI Noise Remover. It strips hiss, hum and room noise from the voice while leaving music and sound effects alone, and it has four settings — Off, Subtle, Medium, Strong — so you can control how hard it works.

02How do I make my voice sound more “studio”?

Turn on Enhance voice. It separates your voice from the background, removes the noise and brings it to a consistent studio loudness — at Subtle, Medium or Strong. Budget roughly two minutes of processing per ten minutes of audio.

03The cleanup made my voice robotic — now what?

Lower the strength. Robotic, hollow or underwater artifacts are the signature of noise reduction working too hard — drop from Strong to Medium or Subtle and the voice comes back. Nothing is lost by doing this: your original recording is untouched and the setting is reversible.

04Can it remove echo from a bad room?

Not as a dedicated control — Cast has no de-reverb. Noise removal targets steady noise (hiss, hum, room tone), and it will not pull the echo out of a recording made in a bare, reflective room.
