Kick’s own revenue split page says it uses a 95/5 split across its main revenue streams. You keep 95% of subs and KICKs. The other 5% is a processing fee, and Kick says it takes no further percentage, so that fee is the only cut from your channel income (the creator-side answer to anyone searching “kick platform revenue”).

The subscription price is simple too. Only Affiliates and Partners can offer channel subs, and one sub costs $4.99, according to Kick’s subscription help page. So each sub puts about $4.74 in your account. Then tax and currency conversion take their turn.

That number is why Kick’s billboard works. It’s a good billboard.

Now the arithmetic nobody puts on the billboard. Forty subscribers is roughly $190 a month. Good dinner. Not rent. The split is generous, but 95% of a small number is still a small number, which is why the other income streams matter.

Getting the money out is fairly painless. Payouts go through Stripe. Verified streamers can pick weekly or monthly (you ask support to switch), unverified ones get monthly only, and a few countries get weekly or daily payouts because local rules require it. There are also Bounties, challenge-based campaigns listed on bounties.kick.com, each with its own task and rewards, such as gifted subs or KICK Shop gift cards. Rewards vary by campaign, which is the most honest sentence in any monetisation doc.

Kick pays you. It doesn’t do your taxes. So put a slice aside the day the payout lands, because that 95% is counted before the tax office has had its say.

Two doors, and only the Kick Partner Program pays per stream

Kick has two stages of monetisation. Confusingly, it uses the word “partner” for both, which is like a restaurant calling the starter and the bill “dinner”.

Door one is subscriptions. Paid subs switch on after 5 cumulative hours of streaming, and those hours can be spread across shorter streams. Kick’s help centre even calls a streamer who has hit that bar a KICK Partner. Five hours. That’s a long Sunday.

Door two is what people mean when they ask “do Kick streamers get paid”. Kick puts it plainly: the KICK Partner Program lets creators earn revenue per stream. This door has a bouncer.

The Kick partner program bar, as of this autumn

Kick’s join page lists both the policy and profile conditions and the hard metrics. You need:

a verified channel, with social links added and the About section filled in

over the trailing 30 days: 75 average concurrent viewers, 30 streamed hours, 25 active subs, 250 unique chatters, 3 VODs and 250 followers (per Kick’s partner help page)

a clean record under Kick’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, DMCA Policy and KCIP Terms and Conditions

Then you email Kick from your account address with your username. Hitting the numbers still isn’t a guaranteed pass into the Kick partner program, and Kick says so. It also calls the program early-stage. Translation: the metrics can move.

Thirty hours is easy. Seventy-five viewers is the wall. And the 250 unique chatters are the sneaky one, because lurkers don’t count and people have to actually type. (Searched “kick para kazanma şartları”? Same bar in Turkish. No regional discount.)

Chatters are the number you can actually move

Average viewers move slowly. You can’t will them up, and buying them is how channels end up on a very different policy page. Chat is different, because chat reacts to what you do on stream.

We learned this the dull way. For a while our test host narrated at the camera like a nature documentary, and the chatter count sat there politely while viewers crept up. Then he started asking one specific question every twenty minutes. Not “how’s everyone doing”. Something with an answer: which loadout, which boss first, which terrible snack. The chat list grew. The viewer count barely noticed.

So greet first-time chatters by name, run polls that need typing rather than clicking, and give lurkers a low-stakes reason to say one word. The bar counts people, not messages. One regular spamming emotes all night is still one.

The Creator Incentive Program moved in with the partners

Plenty of people still search “kick creator incentive program requirements” and get answers from 2024. Those answers are fossils.

Kick still asks partners to follow the “KCIP Terms and Conditions”, named after the Creator Incentive Program, the one that was famous for its hourly wage and infamous for its entry bar. The name stayed. The velvet rope stayed too.

Hitting every number above only gets you to the door. Kick says so itself: meeting the requirements “doesn’t guarantee entry into the KICK Partner Program, it makes you eligible to apply” (Kick’s partner help page). So treat the list as a minimum, not a ticket.

The old name never fully left, though. The partner checklist still makes you follow the “KCIP Terms and Conditions”, which tells you where the incentive money went. So “kick creator program” and the Kick partner program are now the same building. Two signs, one door.

As for the size of the building, Kick’s partner page says the program has paid out more than $400 million to creators since 2024. That’s Kick’s own number about Kick, so read it as a press-release figure. Still, somebody is getting paid in more than loyalty points.

Naming things in streaming is its own sport. Every platform has an Affiliate who is sort of a Partner, a Partner who is sort of an employee, and a Program that used to be a different Program. Somebody in a meeting room is very proud of this. Anyway.

What a stream pays (Kick isn’t saying, so neither are we)

This is where every guide on the internet starts making up numbers. Kick describes its partner program as a revenue model built around individual streams. A rate card? Not published.

Kick’s own help page says the program “lets Creators earn revenue per stream” (source) and stops right there. Honestly, that is the most trustworthy sentence on the subject. Anyone quoting you a precise hourly rate is guessing, selling something, or both.

So when you see a neat table of dollars per hour, treat it like a weather forecast from someone’s cousin. It might be right. It wasn’t written by the weather.

Confession: we once built a whole spreadsheet on a forum screenshot of somebody’s hourly rate. Conditional formatting, a chart, two tabs. All of it was fiction, because one streamer’s deal told us nothing about anyone else’s.

Our position is boring. It’s also correct. Budget on subs, KICKs and sponsors, because you can count those yourself. Treat partner stream revenue as the bonus that grows when viewers and chat grow. If that money pays your rent, you’re one policy update away from a very different month.

A month of Kick partner program pay, on paper

Take a made-up channel that has just cleared the Kick partner program bar: 75 average viewers, 60 active subs, one small sponsor a month. Every number here is ours, not Kick’s.

The subs are the easy line. Sixty times $4.74 is about $284. The sponsor is whatever you negotiated, and Kick doesn’t touch it. Partner stream pay is the blank cell, because nobody outside the contract knows the rate. Call it X.

Now multistream to YouTube. X becomes half of X. The subs don’t change, and neither does the sponsor, so the only line that shrinks is the one you couldn’t predict anyway.

Then take a strike. Nothing on the sheet changes on day one, which is exactly why people ignore it. Two more and every line reads zero, including the subs, because a banned account has no channel to subscribe to.

X is the cell everyone stares at. The strike count is the one that pays the rent.

Multistreaming halves your Kick Partner Program money

Kick lets partner program members stream elsewhere at the same time. It charges for the privilege. Kick’s partner page says you can multistream while still earning 50% of your usual Kick revenue, as long as you enable the multistreaming toggle in your Creator Dashboard.

So the toggle is mandatory. Forget it, and you’re going live somewhere else without telling the platform that pays you per stream (a fun conversation to have with a payments team).

The maths is simple. People skip it anyway. Whatever Kick pays you per stream, multistreaming halves it, so Twitch or YouTube has to cover the gap with ads, subs and growth, or you’re paying for the strange privilege of being in two places at once.

With a big audience elsewhere, the trade can be worth it. On a channel scraping 75 viewers on Kick, it usually isn’t. Splitting the audience can also drag your Kick average below the bar, and then the question answers itself.

Sponsors pay you, and Kick wants the words “Paid Promotion”

Sponsorships are the income stream you negotiate yourself, outside the subscription split. That also makes them the one where the rules are easiest to forget.

The catch is disclosure, and Kick is strict about it. The Community Guidelines require the Branded Content tool, a visual tag like #Ad in the stream title, and a spoken disclosure when the sponsored segment starts. Affiliate links need disclosing too.

Our favourite line in the whole policy tells creators to avoid vague words like “Partner” or “Collab” and say “Paid Promotion” instead. So as a member of the Kick Partner Program, you can’t call your sponsor a partner. We checked twice. It’s real.

If gambling sponsors are calling, Kick only allows sponsored gambling from operators licensed in the relevant jurisdiction. Read the contract. Then read your country’s law. After that, read the contract again.

Three DMCA strikes and the Kick Partner Program is over

This is the part the payout guides skip. It’s also the part that can zero everything above.

Kick runs a progressive strike system. The first strike gets logged, and you receive a notice with guidance and counter-notification details. At strike two, your account goes under enhanced monitoring. Number three ends it: Kick bans the account for repeat infringement.

There’s a mercy clause. Strikes expire if you stay clean for a period, but the policy doesn’t put a number on that period, so don’t plan around it.

Now connect the dots. Following the DMCA Policy is a written condition of Kick Partner Program eligibility, and the partner page lists it again under the rules for earning. So a strike costs more than a muted VOD. It counts against the one requirement you can’t fix by streaming more hours.

Kick has a reputation for going easy on copyright. A reputation isn’t a licence, though. Kick’s DMCA strike system is plain about it: takedown notices go to Kick’s designated agent, confirmed violations come down with a strike attached, and the third strike bans the account for repeat infringement.

If a strike is wrong, the notice tells you how to counter it. Use that only if you actually hold the rights, and keep the licence email, the receipt and the timestamp somewhere you can find at 2 a.m. Without the rights, a counter-notice is just a longer way to lose. We made a similar point about paperwork in why a paid licence isn’t proof.

Music is the strike nobody plans

Kick’s suspension page names it directly: playing copyrighted music without the rights. Most music strikes aren’t villainy, though. The songs that get people struck usually sneak in sideways, from games, videos and ads. A reaction segment. A menu theme. The clip a mod pasted into chat at 1 a.m.

The other classic is the paid playlist. A subscription isn’t the same as permission. Your Spotify Premium covers your ears. Your audience is a separate conversation.

We’ve been muted mid-stream on Twitch at exactly the moment the clip was about to be good, so we have feelings about this. The fix is boring and structural. Put music on its own audio source so you can cut it in one click, keep game audio separate, and only play tracks whose licence you can find in an email. Our setup notes live in how to play music on stream without copyright problems. Dead air is the other trap. Silence tempts people into bad choices, as we argued in your stream has a silence problem.

For background music nobody else is playing, Mubert Render generates an original track at the exact length you ask for. Real artists uploaded the samples it builds from, and they get paid for them. The track is cleared for commercial use under the platform licence, but the scope depends on your plan. Read that scope before you go live.
