Now,\u00a0Sony has just\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/drum-generation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">developed an AI<\/a>\u00a0that adds kick-drum beats to pre-existing songs and makes them more catchy.<\/p>\n<p>The AI adds \u201cmusically plausible\u201d kick drum beats\u00a0invariant to tempo and time-shift. The research team used\u00a0665 <a href=\"https:\/\/mubert.com\/render\/genres\/pop-music\">pop<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mubert.com\/render\/genres\/rock\">rock<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/mubert.com\/render\/genres\/hip-hop-music\">hip-hop<\/a> tracks to train the model where rhythm instruments including bass, kick and snare are available as separate 44.1kHz audio tracks.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Each mapping code captures local relations between kick vs bass and snare inputs, such that an entire track is associated with a sequence of mapping codes. Since we want mapping codes to capture rhythmic patterns rather than just the instantaneous presence or absence of onsets in the tracks, during training we enforce invariance of mapping codes to (moderate) time shifts and tempo changes in the inputs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sony Team<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The generative music market grows pretty fast and Mubert is definitely one of the flagships.<\/p>\n","protected":false,"gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"html"}]},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AI-generating music is pretty commonplace now.
